Run your servers by just asking.
Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP client to your NootHost account and your assistant can actually do the work — restart a VPS, check bandwidth, pay an invoice or spin up a new server. Plain English in, real actions out.

Built to be trusted
Safe by design
Your key only unlocks your own account — nothing else resolves.
Granular permissions
Tick exactly what it may touch. Read-only is a fine start.
Never touches a card
Paying uses existing credit. New money always needs you.
Confirms destructive actions
A rebuild refuses to run without the exact hostname back.
Revoke anytime
Kill a key in the dashboard — it dies on the next request.

Create an API key
In the dashboard go to Account & settings › API & AI and create a key. Tick only the permissions you want it to have — read-only is a fine place to start. The key is shown once, so copy it then.
Open API keysAdd NootHost to your AI tool
Pick your tool and paste the config. Swap in the key you just created.
Run this in your terminal — it writes the config for you.
claude mcp add --transport http noothost https://api.noothost.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer nh_live_your_key_here"Then ask Claude anything about your account. `claude mcp list` shows it connected.
Ask it something
Try “what do I owe?” or “is my server up?”. If it answers with your real numbers, you are connected.
✓ You owe nothing — $18.50 credit, next renewal Mar 3.
You decide exactly how far it goes
Every key carries its own permissions. Your assistant is only shown the tools its key can actually use — everything else may as well not exist.
- Start read-only. Status, bandwidth and billing questions need nothing more.
- Add power when you trust it. Restarts and console access are separate ticks.
- Destructive actions are gated. A rebuild needs the exact hostname passed back as confirmation.
- Revoke in one click. The key dies on the next request. Keys are stored hashed — nobody can read yours back, including us.

When you'll actually use it
Website down at 2AM?
“web-01 is down — what's wrong?”
Status, resources and a restart, confirmed back online before you're fully awake.
Need more power?
“What can I upgrade to for $15?”
Compare plans that fit your budget before provisioning another server.
Managing domains?
“Is nootbox.com free? Register it.”
Availability, registration and nameservers — mid-conversation.
Keeping an eye on billing?
“What do I owe this month?”
Balance, invoices and renewals without opening five dashboard pages.
For developers
Everything above, documented. The heavy detail lives here so the page doesn't have to wear it.

Questions
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use real tools instead of guessing. Connecting noothost gives your assistant a set of read and control tools for your own account — nothing else.
Can the AI spend my money?
Only if you let it. Billing, ordering and domains are separate permissions you tick when you create the key, and none of them can charge a card: paying uses account credit you already have, and ordering or registering creates an invoice with a payment link you open yourself.
Can it see other customers' servers?
No. Every call resolves your account from the key itself, so an id belonging to somebody else simply does not resolve.
What if the AI does something I did not want?
Revoke the key in your dashboard and it stops working instantly. Destructive actions are also gated: a rebuild will not run unless the exact hostname is passed back as confirmation.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The server is hosted at noothost.com, so most clients just need the URL and your key. Claude Desktop needs the small mcp-remote bridge because it does not send custom headers on its own.
Is there a plain REST API too?
Yes — the same key works against api.noothost.com/v1 with a Bearer token, and it returns the same JSON the MCP tools do.

Give your assistant the keys.
